All around me I am witnessing the rebirth of a new American Tradition. It is time. This new fruit is ripening and ready to eat as a result of the seeds once planted by our ancestors. We are so quick to travel hither and yonder to find answers to our most pressing human question: why am I here? It is my belief that the time is now to stop and rediscover our very foundation, for at the root,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], is where the strength of the plant is found. Over the past twenty years we have been busily focusing on collecting the ancient practices of the other peoples throughout the world,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], and have not realized that our eyes have been bling to the very traditions that are our own. Contrary to Ireland whose native cultures were destroyed, we in America have the two hundred plus years of our own makings still intact. It is time we stop to remember what it is that our ancestors shared with us.
For me this means giving back the extraneous symbols that do not represent my path any longer. I do it with great respect and honor for the opportunities and education. After hearing speaker after speaker sing what I already knew,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], I realized that I had come home once again to our land and our ways. It is time for our villages and communities to grow Corn. We have the foundation of a Constitution that allows us to melt into our healing pots everything our ancestors have brought forward. Perhaps this is the fascination we have had traveling to all these distant lands seeking our roots. However, we are now standing ready to reclaim our own power. Through the vast technology and experience that we have, it is time to remember that we are a nation who came forth to express our inherent freedoms. I suspect that somehow the idea that our common welfare should come first got lost in the translation. So, my search is now ended and I am ready to take my place at the council of elders who will come forward to heal this community, this land, and the growing number of displaced individuals who are in need of a common cause. It is as simple as planting a community garden,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], but what I did hear this weekend that rang true loud and clear is that we are all one, and we are all here now. Let's put aside all judgments of our fellow human, those other seekers of truth, traveling their own paths but arriving at the same doorway and truly grasp the notion that this is our tradition, and we have the inherent right to be wherever we are on the spiritual ladder,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], but we are all in this transformation together, and it is time we remember why it is we are here.
Clearly we have been in judgment of ourselves for a very long time. We lived with one another but held the belief that our mysteries were locked up in someone else's toolbox. So desperate was our attempt at answers to our own common entrapments that we headed to the highland of the mountain to gain an understanding of their ways. Not only did we enter onto their lands, but we reinterpreted their method and terminologies to fit our own chaos. With all respect to the Queros', their language was only concerned with their villages and crops. We have extracted that language to fit our own brokenness, and to fix ourselves using their cosmology. However foolish as it may seem, so many of us have failed to use this work as it was intended. As Americans, we took it home to heal the individual. Unfortunately, we missed the mark again as it was designed always to heal the community, and the individual was always second. As for so many of these traditions that we borrowed to heal ourselves, we forgot the healing of our own cosmology and tradition.
We have stood in judgment of our own practices. This past weekend I sat and came to fully understand my role as a keeper of a new but ancient tradition. We are the keepers of this sacred knowledge. I am one who has done much work and spent many hours seeking the answers that I thought lay outside of this time and space. Yet again I was awakened to the vast knowing inside me, built from my own struggles and cosmology of the cities and towns where I have lived,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], been educated,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], and worked. This journey just an hour away from my home made it clear that my own traditions and life have led me to the same agreements with these wise elders. As they spoke, my heart sang with joy in this realization that despite our different shoes, we had arrived at a very similar place.

In no way am I saying that I have not benefited from the mountain top trainings in Peru, or the long days of chanting my Hindu mantra,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], or sitting in the Lakota Lodge, or any of the teachings. Perhaps they are the foundation of our tradition. This country to me was always the place of refuge and hope. Despite our treatment of the relatives who inhabited this land, our ancestors came here with the belief in a better world where one could dare to dream. So this dream has taken us far from our homes in search of some meaning that we were blind to see in our own gardens and lands. We have been seeking to reclaim our power outside ourselves, and became our harshest judge as somehow, somewhere our own culture seemed "less" than the other teachings.
Perhaps the one elder who spoke most openly to the Corn had a more refined palate with the subtlety of that which lives in and around her,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], but it is no different than my understanding of the buildings,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], electronics,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], and shifts happening within the confines of my village or community. Consequently, I am returning certain tools I have acquired over the years that no longer serve me well. Really, they are not mine to keep any longer and need to be buried or passed on. In the process of this annyi, I am becoming clear as to our mission, which is to rebuild our own tradition. It is time to speak to our ancestors, to find out what it was that they were thinking at the industrial revolution, or when they invaded the other countries in an effort to maintain peace. Was this not some ideal that they were ultimately defending of our inherent rights to be free? We are so quick to diminish what these ancient ones did for us, but as seekers we ARE NOT ONLY allowed to seek, it is at the root of our being. Perhaps literally, it is at the root of our collective DNA. This freedom of choice was set down before us as our ceremony to a better world.
Why am I speaking about this today? I feel as if I am standing in a comfortable dwelling but I have found a previously unused doorway. At this doorway it feels whatever is behind me most of the training I have received has not totally prepare me for what lie beyond. It is not matching my new cosmology. This past weekend, sitting with the elders from around the world, I realized that ALL OF US have arrived at the same gate.

In March 2000, he joined Wendy’s Supa Sundaes. Wendy’s is a 310 store chain in Australia and New Zealand. Over the course of his five year tenure he took Wendy’s from a $75m business to $120m business for the group.

In 1996, Shane was awarded the Australia Day Business Award for contribution to the industry and in 2004 he was awarded the Young Leader of the Year Award for South Australia.

However in reality you’re spinning your wheels, which accomplishes nothing. Just because it’s a verb doesn’t make it an action.
Do you not want to? OR Are you afraid to?
• Hire someone else to do it.

Today we have to straddle 3 worlds. The Universe and the illusion are still there and we have to help bridge the gap between these for the tribe, but we also have to stay tapped into the financial world created by the consumerism of the modern times. The problem for many of us is that we literally don’t have a leg to stand on when it comes to this new consumer society and no one has ever taught us how to integrate it into our teachings and practices in any useful way. In fact we’ve been taught that consumerism is bad and we’ve believed it even while espousing balance and harmony! We can just add this to the growing list of inner conflicts that are blocking our energy. I hope the tools and exercises in the book are helpful with balancing out some of those conflicts.
A Lightworker is always going to be in the position of straddling the boundaries between the various realities. We don’t believe in the Universal Powers and the Universal Laws, we know that they are real and that they work because we’ve felt and experienced them.

Sometimes it can be hard to balance the realities of the worlds we straddle. We can directly attribute much of the rise of the New Age to the books and media distributed throughout our consumer society. In fact the tools and technologies of the Information Age have made it easier than ever before to develop a healing and teaching practice. There has never been a time in the known history of the human race when the common people, the regular,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], ordinary working people,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], have had access to the writings and teachings of every great discipline that has survived the purges of the religions and ravages of time.
Many Lightworkers today are still working under the tribal attitudes that probably carry over from past lives when we were shamans, healers and tribal medicine men. In those days and places we didn’t have to fool with ‘making a living’,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], we could just live and take care of the tribe and the tribe took care of us.
Now the world has evolved and there are new ways and new attitudes. We still need to take care of the tribe and the tribe is happy to take care of us, but all too often it’s we Lightworkers who aren’t making the shift into this new world and it’s actually causing problems for the tribe.

Consumerism and the modern world
The tribe, on the other hand, is being taught that “you get what you pay for” because they are being indoctrinated into a consumer oriented society. When a Lightworker offers a service then the tribe expects to pay for that service just as they would pay a doctor or a plumber or a school teacher. When a Lightworker has an inner conflict over accepting payment it actually interrupts the flow of energy that exists between the tribe and the Lightworkers! We can’t teach that “energy doesn’t flow through tight muscles” and then create resistance to our energy flows.
In the times before the industrial revolution and the rise of the consumer oriented cultures Light workers only had to straddle 2 worlds. We had to keep one foot out in the Universe and the other foot here in the collective illusion that the tribe creates as it flows along its daily path to awakening.
We’re seeing an interesting revival of the Old Ways now. Some of the modern religions have done a good job of providing a framework for laws and social norms and mores,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], not to mention fodder for countless wars and atrocities, but it seems that they’ve left a lot of people looking for spirituality rather than providing an easy path to help integrate the body, mind and spirit and many people are actively beginning to seek alternative paths. These are our tribe; the seekers, the wanderers and those open-minded souls who intuitively feel that they should be looking inside themselves for the divinity that they can sense rather than looking outward to the invisible Gods that are forced upon them.
It’s no wonder that the tribe is confused and looking for relief and answers.
At the same time the people that we are supposed to be helping to awaken are indoctrinated from birth into mainstream religions that tell them to have faith in the religious version of the supernatural while teaching that all other versions of the supernatural are unreal and evil.
Today the members of our tribes are scattered and it’s up to each of us to find them and then help provide the healing, teaching and guidance that they might need. We may not always be able to meet them face to face or heal them directly as in the old days, but that simply means that the modern Lightworker has to be more versatile,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], persistent and tolerant than ever before.

Another problem here is that many of the Lightworkers are still breaking free of the attitudes and teachings of the mainstream religions,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych]. It’s hard to grow up being taught that &#8220,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych];money is the root of all evil&#8221,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych]; and then being put into a position where one must learn to use money as a tool in order to help the tribe,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych]. Many Lightworkers feel that to accept money for teaching or healing actually sullies the teaching and healing and lessens its worth. I’ve also met Lightworkers who have difficulties accepting money or even bartered goods that are offered in exchange for teaching and healing,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych].

Do you often feel restless when you sit down or lying down? Then you might have restless leg syndrome. Also known as RLS, restless leg syndrome is a condition wherein you feel uncomfortable when you sit or lie down even for just a few minutes. It makes people want to stand up and walk around in order to make them feel comfortable. Usually,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], moving around will temporarily relieve the restless feeling on your legs.
Because restless leg syndrome can be caused by different factors, it is important that you should go see a physician. Diagnostic tests may be needed to determine the cause. The physician may also prescribe several types of medications for you. Restless leg syndrome is nothing to be ashamed about. It is a real medical condition, and often times it is a lifelong condition. Don’t hesitate to seek help and tell your loved ones about your condition.
RLS is usually not caused by a serious medical condition, so there are several home remedies and self-care options you can explore. Relaxing your legs muscles will greatly help prevent the worsening of symptoms. A warm bath or a relaxing massage at night can help prevent sleep disturbances. Applying alternating warm and cold packs on your legs can also diminish the sensation on your legs so you will feel less restless. Stress, caffeine, tobacco and alcohol can both aggravate and trigger the symptoms of RLS so it is extremely important that you avoid them. If you can’t avoid stressful activities, then you should try learning relaxation techniques such as yoga,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], deep breathing exercises,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], and meditation. Getting regular and moderate exercise is also helpful for relieving the symptoms,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], but make sure that you do not do it too late in the day or too much exercise because these can worsen the symptoms. You can also take over-the-counter pain relievers when the twitching really bothers you,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], as these can help relieve the sensation.
There are different causes for restless leg syndrome, and sometimes the cause is not known. Restless leg syndrome also runs in families,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], especially if starts at an early age. If you experience it for the first time during pregnancy, then there is a huge chance that the hormonal change during pregnancy is the cause. The great news is that the symptoms usually disappear after delivery. Other causes or RLS are peripheral neuropathy, iron deficiency and kidney failure.

It also can disrupt sleep which often leads to daytime drowsiness, poor concentration and stress. RLS begins at any age and that it is more common with women.
